  • Why Should I Become a Volunteer?

    Abbotsford Minor Baseball Association is always looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals to support and coordinate AMBA House League season, Representative Teams season, events and activities such as Tournaments


    As a volunteer, you should have a keen interest in the safety, well-being, and overall development of children. By reading further, you will discover that the benefits of volunteering are endless. You will also gain a better understanding of why you should become involved, who volunteers are, what you can do, and how you can sign up.


    AMBA relies on a devoted group of volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. 

  • Who Can Volunteer?

    Anyone can apply to become a volunteer. Whatever talents or skills you have, we can use them!


    Our volunteers are parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, retirees, community leaders, former players, friends, neighbours, and more. Any community member who wishes to become a volunteer may apply.


    All parents of children involved in AMBA are strongly encouraged to volunteer. As a parent, volunteer, you have the opportunity to spend quality time with your child in a safe, fun-filled environment. Oftentimes, parent and child social lives parallel each other. Volunteering allows your life and your child's life to intersect on common ground, with shared interests and goals.

  • How Do I Become a Volunteer?

    Please take a minute to fill out the Volunteer Form at the bottom of the page OR register for volunteering while registering your child or at any time event organized by AMBA that requires volunteers.

  • Criminal Check Record

    We recommend that you complete this process as soon as possible for it to be returned in time for Opening Day - April 1st.


    BC Minor Baseball Association Rule:


    1.09 Risk Management Each association must establish a Risk Management process to comply with the following: Every volunteer, coach, employee and/or contractor, who at any time could be expected to have direct contact with any minor aged person, must have on file with their association, the results of a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC). Compliance with this rule is the responsibility of each local association. Note: This rule does not apply to umpires.
